I Love Ballet Flats

I started wearing ballet flats out and about in 2010. Lightweight, comfortable, and oh-so-cute...what's not to love about a great pair of flats! The most difficult thing about wearing flats is simply finding the courage to wear them in public. It took me nearly a quarter of a century (24 years) to get brave enough to wear them out. Wish I could have found that courage sooner...

I am still trying to get the courage to wear in public. It is difficult because I live in a small town and don't want any one I know to see. I sometimes wear when I am in another town though and it is exhilarating.

I´ve already pass this stage, first time i was very nervous but after half an hour or so, i checked that most of the people does not look to your feet, one or two people in a crwoded street, so as the time goes by you start to feel more confi about your shoes, and finally is like a liberation. Try it on a crowded street. Cheers from Madrid

I wear mine in public all the time. It was hard at first, but now I don't think twice about it. My flats are the most comfortable shoes I own. I Just bit the bullet and bought a pair of Born Julianne flats in black. Incredibly comfortable shoe and worth the money.

Love flats too ! My favorite ones are a pair of black, one inch wedge with an almond toe. I love wearing these !! Wish I could remember where I purchased them though. Their getting a little worn out.

Too bad...I would have like to know the brand as well. I am a HUGE fan of low wedge flats/heels such as you describe. They have the cuteness of a flat as well as the elegance of a wedge heel. I have dreamed about wearing this style since the early 80's, and I finally bought my first pair (from Payless) in 1986. I was scared to death when I got to the register! Of course, I only wore them in private at the time. Ten years later I foolishly got rid of them in a big purge... (See more about this in my long "shoe liberation" posts.

I wear mine all the time in public when the weather is warm. I wear plain black or brown flats with no bows or decorations. I usually wear them with jeans, but in hot weather, I wear them with shorts. No one really notices.

It really gives me a rush to wear my flats in public especially when people look at my shoes then look at me. Wearing flats (the more worn the better) gets me excited.

I Wear my ballet flats just about all the time there just soo comfortable and look really pretty

It is funny that I am far more at ease wearing 4 to 5 inch heels out and about than I am at wearing my flats out. I have warn the heels on many occasions however I have only worn my flats out once. Crazy.
