The group I work, create and dance with and for is rather much a collective, in the old 'Soviet-style'

There isn't a president of the Presidium, because there isn't a Presidium, none of that kind of baggage is included. We each have a vote about matters, and where there's impasse there is a debate and discussion. We gradually iron out our perceived problems and we manage to exist, comfortably, together, mutually supporting each other, creating our dances and performing for our public.

The old Twenties movies from the Soviet Union, propaganda, of happy workers in the fields, might be an idealised fiction for the sake of propaganda, but we honestly have something quite like it! None of us would describe ourselves as Marxists or Communists, but you might discover tenets of either surfacing in our little collective workers' democracy. Yes, that is how to describe it, because we are all workers, and we each have our vote, we pool everything, where possible, nobody goes on a spending spree, unless what you are going to spend is money given you as a gift (like from your parents for your birthday). All earned monies are pooled for use of the group in our combined ventures.

The bank account has been set up to require three signatures, so no misuse of funds can occur, we hope, that will undermine our joint venture, of putting on ballets and dramas for a paying audience.
