The ex husband of my mother's cousin was one, until he went to prison for life on attempted murder, he took a claw hammer to his ex wife's, my mother's cousin, bf and left him brain damaged. Their oldest daughter, my third cousin, was a barrel racer, until she was hit by a drunk driver, was dragged by a failed seat belt when she was thrown from her car, and almost lost her leg. Both incidents happened within a month of each other almost 40 years ago.
