George Russell in a Merc 🤩 [I Love Formula 1]

@SW-User He did great. Not as good as Lewis yet, but it was his first time in that car and Valtteri had trouble keeping up already.

Shame on Mercedes for messing up so badly. Apparently there was a technical communications issue so the pit crew didn't hear the box box.

@Classified 'twas a shambles unfortunately. Any other day I'd be over the moon for Perez but that should have been Russell's race. My son said at one point in all the confusion though that Russell really made Bottas look a bit second rate. Only one race obviously but I have to agree I always thought it was just Lewis being above him but now you have to question if Mercedes have the right guy in the second car.

@SW-User Mercedes has the right guy in the second car. Because he is just right. George is too good to put next to Lewis. Valtteri is a second man who can push Lewis in the qualifications and take points away from other teams, but isn't good enough to be a real threat.

Valtteri did look second rate, but he had very old tyres and George had new ones. It isn't a fair comparison even though losing position like that looked really bad.

@Bushmanoz Right. I'm hoping it's gonna be two races, although I don't wish sickness on Lewis. 😅

@Classified It would be good if its 2. one will be hard to do and get a result but 2 gives him a much better chance of learning the car
