Black Elk; A 12 Year Old Witness To The Battle of the Little Big Horn

This book! It left me so incredibly numb. Not so much for how it was written, but for the magnitude of events that Black Elk experienced and suffered with throughout his life. It leaves me.....stunned.
From his narrative as a 12 year old boy in his Sioux Village on the Big Horn River when Custer attacked and his description of the battle, to his post life as a se'er and Medicine Man. It left me not only stunned, but in awe of him.
My lord....what this young man experienced in his life. If you love history, I would gamble that, you might not put this one down until completed. Profound, sad, joyus, reflective.......
