What do you think of Native American spirituality?

@SW-User I have good friends that are Lakota. I have high respect for their faith.

@SW-User yeah, they are pretty loyal. they don’t like too many white people, though. they are members of AIM and consider themselves still at war with the US. They even still have relatives in federal prison for the revolt at Wounded Knee.

@DarkHeaven I don’t like that either. They came to Oklahoma and stirred up problems here.

@DarkHeaven I live here when they did and didn’t like it. They are too much into stirring up strife and need to concentrate on their own locations. They have had some nice schools built for their children yet have the highest drop out rates in the country.

@cherokeepatti 🤷‍♀️ I have no idea. The Lakota that I’m talking about live pretty rough.

@DarkHeaven Problem is that there is a high rate of alcohol and drug abuse. And anyone who has money or a way of helping will feed them so they never get hungry enough to try to change that’s a huge problem. They won’t let anyone go hungry and scrape bottom.

@cherokeepatti Yeah, substance abuse is always sad.

@DarkHeaven If they’d focus on getting the children educated and not let them drop out that would be a good thing. Have read that anyone who does get educated if they can make good money and come back to the reservation then they are expected to share with everyone including the addicts who won’t help themselves so the ones who are educated are motivated to leave and stay gone because their money is not an endless gold mine no matter how well they can earn a living.
