Critical race theory [I Sympathize With Native Americans]

I wonder if the right also doesn't want the history of Native Americans taught to their children? Is any history that makes them uncomfortable intolerable?

CRT is not history. This misconception is nearly ubiquitous.

@Human1000 What is it? Anything non-factual part of the curriculum?
Human1000 · M
@tindrummer It’s a theoretical framework that seeks racial justice via non liberal methods. Liberal in this case means things like laws against discrimination. The idea is to dismantle institutions which contribute to “racism.” So, not just parity in sentencing, but getting rid of police, or not arresting African Americans for so called “crimes.”

@Human1000 Thanks for being one of the few people on here who actually understands that and can articulate it.

It's been interesting watching the obsession with this issue play out in real time on here as people rush in to provide their biased, straight from their social media take on this volatile issue.
Human1000 · M
@SumKindaMunster It's frustrating that people accept CRT as fact without understanding what it is, or its ramifications.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Human1000 It is indeed. It's currently part of the ongoing culture war in this country so everybody has heard of it now, but not everybody has researched it to fully understand what it means.
Human1000 · M
@SumKindaMunster It has become "normative" on the left. Helen yesterday told me is it as factual as gravity! Well, leave it to the Democrats to hand another issue to the Republicans.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Human1000 You would think, but the right is terrible at waging these battles.

They only thing they have won in my estimation is gun control, and maybe abortion is a draw.

But they lost the battles against gay marriage, interracial relationships, pornography, and marijuana. They are currently losing the battle against transgenderism.

I hope they can pull off banning CRT, it would be a good win for Americans sick of the left dominating these issues.
Human1000 · M
@SumKindaMunster I don't think CRT should be mandatory, but as a theory let it be taught in college. Ironically, the Right's hysteria about CRT is part of the reason it is now so accepted on the left. At least the words...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Human1000 Yes agreed. Both sides have a way of provoking the other that gets these issues brought up to the mainstream.
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster you take issue with interracial marriage?
tindrummer · M
@Eeyore122 that's only 1 issue that gives you a good idea of what kind of person this guy is

@Human1000 he said the right LOST the battle on that issue - what am I missing?
Human1000 · M
@tindrummer Oh, damn, my bad. I didn’t see that. Could he have been saying it as analysis of the right without agreeing with it?
tindrummer · M
@Human1000 all I see is a stance on social issues that I find reprehensible

@Human1000 Yes, once again, you understand while the indoctrinated morons spew their ad hominem and strawman responses.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@tindrummer That's cuz you're an indoctrinated moron who doesn't understand perspective or nuance.
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
@tindrummer Oh, I saw his list. I could have continued...
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster No comment, out of respect for one person in this thread in particular.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Eeyore122 Hm, well if you cared about respect, you wouldn't have made such a ridiculous comment in the first place.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Human1000☝️ Can you believe this fucking guy is an educator?

Yet doesn't have the ability to discuss an idea or concept without supporting or believing in it?
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster I am a she. And I am not in the classroom right now. Ergo, I can voice my personal opinions.
