aii, so i have a question that i've asked many ppl on this website before but never really got very good awsners on. How to trace Indo-Caribbean ancestry? like i can tell yall 1 thing, my family is from the Leeward Antilles(Aruba,Curacao etc) and i would like to know if any Indian slaves or such were transported to Curacao or something. Because my family's black, but they don't look african at the slightest, to help you determine here are some pictures of me and my mother and i'll let you decide how "Indian" we look ahhahaha
(o yea, edit. The surnames that are prevelant in my family are, Dacosta-Gomez, Coffie, Simons, and Heymans. If that will help you determine if my family is from India, i hope it will help hahaha)

@MissingNotes: well yknow i live in the Netherlands and i don't have alot of money 2 spend, and if i did i'd have to pay with paypal or mastercard, which i both dont have hahaha. But i am going 2 Aruba in 2 weeks and my aunt promised me 2 split the price with me so yeah, i'll have 2 wait so in the meanwhile im asking people what they think so i can get a better perspective yknow

I see. Your older family members don't know where they came from?
@MissingNotes: Uhh yeah, but when i ask them they just say "Your (family member) is from Curacao, St. Eustatius, Saba, Aruba, etc. They don't give me regions, or continents or shit. All i know most about is my dad's family, they are from France, Germany, Ireland, Britain, etc.
