This I find strange. Here in the USA, many places offer senior discounts every day. Heck even the busses.

And yes, it's always 55 and above. Bus rides are 50% off. Though usually it's only 10% off. You do have ask for the senior discounts.

@Wiseacre On top of that those that don't offer senior discounts, some will offer veterans discounts. Though they are far fewer.

That 50% bus discount applies to all veterans. Yet it is one or the other.
