Here's a interesting little tid bit about Canada's Walmart...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walmart_Canada
[c=000000] Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, it was founded on March 17, 1994, with the purchase of the Woolco Canada chain from the F. W. Woolworth Company. [/c]
I remember Woolworths here very well. Such a shame. 馃槥

@DeWayfarer I liked Woolworth's. They still exist in Europe

@Slade apparently Walmart is taking them over in Australia. Still a few open from my understanding. Yet to my knowledge all Woolworths are a thing of the past in the USA.

As a kid my father took me to one. Shopped then had lunch in the little restaurant right inside of Woolworths on the counter with swivel seats.

@DeWayfarer we had one up the street. I have an older friend who was sitting at the counter drinking that nasty orangeaid when news of Kennedy came in. He was 6 I think

@Slade I was at with my father, likely at a different restaurant. Was 5 myself.
