@SatyrService Hippy was a nickname given too me by a very good friend that passed away about 6 years ago. I had just resigned my commission in the Canadian Armed Forces and got an earring put in. This was before it was popular for men to wear earrings. My buddy called me a hippy for wearing it and the name stuck.

@SatyrService Yes this was in the early 80s. I was one of the few men I knew that had a ring in his ear. I can only think of one other who got his put in while he was in the Navy.
