When asked, do you say you are from Britain or England? [I Am English]

I always say I'm English if asked. I think as well as being a factual statement about a place of birth or citizenship, it's also an attitude and state of mind.

You can only call yourself English if you're from England, really, otherwise, it would be misleading and stupid. Scotland, Wales, or Ireland, I would call British, as that is what we all are and what the passport says.

@abracadoo22 im Welsh, and i call myself Welsh rather than British.
@RubySoo I know you do, I read your post from the other day, lol! I'm Welsh too, I'll say I'm from Wales or Welsh depending, but we are all British regardless. But I am not impressed with the new group name, 'British-English' what is wrong with just British?
