The story line is heading towards the Steven Lawrence cover up or Lawrence Christopher as the writer portrays. Maybe a live post tonight to follow the show? Although you have to follow so close, maybe a bad idea.

@Ironicman the weaving in stories that are essentially fact, like Lawrence, the collusion with celebrities and child sexual abuse etc. Very clever writing.

One of the worst aspects of the Stephen Lawrence case along with the assumption he was in a drug gang just because he was black was the obvious links to crime gangs via the dad of at least one of the murderers. There was a brilliant BBC documentary on it that showed how appalling the investigation was.

Even after the final convictions the sio on it then wanted to continue convinced he'd get the rest. There is a great piece to camera where he shrugs as to why he was pulled off it and made to retire... "Ask Cressida Dick. Solely her decision." 🤔 I wonder who H is based on?

@OldBrit I was involved in implementing local gov operations post the McPherson enquiry. Met Duwayne Brooks, Stephens friend, back in the 90s. Wonderful man. Follow the case to this day.

@OldBrit the Gail Vella murder is based on a story of a journalist who was uncovering corruption in police and politics in Malta. Villa is also a Maltese name.
