What is the BBC Thinking?

I really don't see why anyone should take offence at patriotic songs such as Land of Hope and Glory. Our history is not perfect but there is a lot we can be proud of. Here is a video of The Last Night of the Proms from slightly less crazy times.

There's an anti-British conspiracy taking over, I'm sure there is. There once was a time when I thought other people were exaggerating when they said that, but now I think they are right.

@Ian123 I'm proud to be British myself but some of the "British" members on this site are so anti-British that I think they are fakes planted here to troll the genuinely British members like me. A lot of people think that.

@HairbrushDiva I would certainly let them know my opinion if they tried with me 🙄 I’m glad to hear you feel the same as me. Here in Portsmouth hundreds of people came out to see the new aircraft carriers come to the dockyard and Union Jacks were everywhere. We also have one of the great symbols of British history in HMS Victory 🤗
