I Am British
And I'm proud of being British! I'm not going to make any apologies to our American cousins, let alone our European distant relatives (25 times removed! Meaning we don't actually like you!), but us British are the greatest of all nations for the following reasons:
1. Democracy - we were the first country to discover it, and spread it across the globe.
2. Sense of humour - Monty Python, Dave Allen, Snatch. We are the most funny nation of earth. And we can laugh at ourselves!
3. Fish and chips
4. Margaret Thatcher
5. Winston Churchill
6. Cups of tea
7. Our police. Now while I'm not their biggest fan (they have caused me problems at home, albeit of my own making!) they are the best in the world! 😃
8. The Queen (standing up and singing the national anthem!) Queen Elizabeth is respected across the globe. And if she isn't, she bloody well should be! She's our queen!
9. Sport. We gave football, rugby, cricket, hockey and all sorts else to the world. So we are considerate of the worlds health and fitness.

13. The English language. By God, we taught you all how to speak!
