We Need A Return To Country Life
Part 1: Introduction
I'll be using SW to gather my thoughts and to write the rough draft of what I will leave to my kids. My goal is to write something that will help to prepare my kids for the future. I do NOT expect to sway many or any of you to adopt a traditional or country way of life. So why use a public platform instead of Google Drive? Because 1 or 2 of you might find some of the information useful in your future.
The project will be divided into 5 parts. First, historical perspective. The common culture and skills shared by all men for thousands of years. Second, family history. True stories of the kid's ancestors, the hardships they endured, and the moral values that were their foundation. Third, my life. How I lived and the transition of the world around me from a traditional country culture to a modern city culture. Fourth, the value of traditional life. Why it is more important than ever to return to country life. Fifth, skills. How to do things that most modern folks don't have a clue about.
Since this lil project of mine is being written to my kids, at times, it might confuse those of you that might read the series. There might be terms of endearment or referrences to events that you were not aware of. Do not think that I am calling you my darling children. lol
Since I am not writing to you I doubt I'm going to read any comments. I reckon some city folks will want to try to humilliate me as I write this. City folks have done that my whole life so I'm used to it. That's part of how they changed the world was by humilliating the country folks. That and city life is easier. (Not everything that is easier is better) So, I may or may not read the comments but it doesn't matter either way. The comments will not be seen by my children when the project is compiled.
I'm not writing a book. I think of this as a very long letter.
