I'm noticing that the younger generation is more tolerant of differences...as in lgbtq or different races etc
.... at least with my son and his friends they are very accepting of others differences ...it's not a big deal to.them ...and that's how it should be

@catastrophecarnival that's what I've noticed too. They might be ageist, for good reason, but for the most part I don't think they're holding onto the ideals and issues the boomers have...
Wouldn't you think that was a good thing? To let go of that old anger and simply continue to exist?
I feel the boomers want their version of life to remain and everyone else is just already moved on. And I understand not letting history repeat itself, I see the value in learning about the past. But it's like we're stuck in this depressing loop of reliving their history and the old ways.

@MarbleMarvel I get what you're saying ...we need to evolve and keep evolving ...they just need to accept it and let it happen ...we don't all want to live in the past especially when it wasn't always good ...
@catastrophecarnival it definitely wasn't good. And it's okay to move on. Never forget, but let's move on ffs. The hard work they did to move towards equality did work. But they gotta stop clinging to their old hurt and let these fresh minds take the lead.

@MarbleMarvel @catastrophecarnival I cannot imagine we will be real happy when we are old and the newer generations are doing things we cannot yet imagine.
@MarbleMarvel agreed
...we certainly need new blood running this country...the old ways do not work ...we need a progressive not a do nothing centurist or far right psychopath...neither will do anything good for this country

@MarbleMarvel The older we get, the less tolerant we are to change and new ways.
We do not know what the future will bring yet.
It is easy to think we will welcome it but I imagine the boomers once thought the same thing.

@Punches I have to respectfully disagree.
I'm excited for my son and his generation. I believe in them 100%.
How can anyone become intolerant of change when it's the only constant?
