So true, I'd rather defend Abraham Lincoln than that rapist. At least Abraham Lincoln wasn't a racist or a slave owner.

@Selfhatingalabamian Lincoln was not an abolitionist. In a speech he said that blacks were not on the same level as whites....but, evidently he had a 'come to Jesus' moment, and penned the Emancipation Proclamation.....but his main goal was to maintain the Union, at any cost.

If Lincoln hadn't been assassinated he would have deported all Blacks in America.
The sole purpose of the Emancipation Proclamation was to classify the slaves as war property so that the Union could seize them when the Union army encountered them in the war zones. It had zero effect on freeing slaves in the Northern States. Besides, the Union army threw tens of thousands of escaping slaves into concentration camps where thousands of them died without ever being free.
