@Mistakesmakeus Washington and Jefferson started the Revolutionary War because they wanted to keep slaves. The British were abolishing slavery in their colonies. The Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Texas war with Mexico, and the Civil War were all fought to keep slaves.
