Yes.
When I was a kid it was hardly ever discussed.
Now it's a frequently debated issue in legislation, research, public reviews, education and media.
The debates tend to have the progressives, liberals and leftists on the side of every effort to minimise racism and create equal opportunity,
and conservatives and right-wingers on the side of either "it doesn't exist, don't make such a big deal of it," or with the Alt-Right openly promoting white supremacist racial hatred and harms.

Let's not forget that all other countries have their versions of racism.

Let's notice how, within the last 200 years, feminism has achieved so many advances for women (though not all) in many western countries - and has done it with remarkable little (almost no) violence on the part of the activists.

Maybe that's a clue as to how other kinds of activists might achieve faster results.
I feel it's worth thinking and discussion on the pros and cons of methods of activism.
