I Hate Racism and Discrimination

I just hate it when Asians consider people attractive only because they're fair skinned. I spend most of life among Indians and I witnessed how they discriminate each other based on the darkness of their skin. There's a stereotype that South Indian are darker and hence more uglier than others. The stereotype would be correct (except for ugly part) if it was thousands of years before. Now as a result of years of massive invasion and immigration of European, Arabians and Asians, it is only half true. But it was still prevalent among the Indians. Therefore, skin lightening products (loaded with harmful chemicals) are popular with slogans like 'world isn't fair, why don't you be?'. 🤦

Personally, the discrimination never happened to me because my skin tone was 'acceptable' in the society but it still annoyed me. I happen to have South Indian ancestry but inherited lighter skin tone from my east Asian side. It boils my blood when someone tells me I am too good looking for a South Indian because I am lighter skinned. Thankfully, such mentality seem to be diminishing in younger Indian generation when I talked to some of them. There's a hope actually.

Edit: I used to date an Indian guy. He's dark (I call his skin color chocolate 😘) and handsome. I realised how unfair the society is to dark coloured people when he spends time trying to lighten his skin eventhough he is good looking as he is.
