I Support Legal Immigration
Most of the countries like the rich western world ( western Europe, USA and Canada) and also Australia absorb migrants and more people come to these countries than leave. apart from the west the gulf region and South Africa is also a net importer of migrants.
Then there are countries like Indian sub continent, Vietnam, china, poor countries in Latin America like Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, African countries like Ethiopia, sierra lione, Somalia, ivory coasts etc and the Arab countries of north Africa as well as the eastern european countries are also net exporter of migrants.
Countries like Brazil, Russia, Argentina, Chile, Tanzania, Nigeria, Thailand, Spain, Portugal and Italy both import and exports immigrants. I could also include India to the list because of the millions of illegal and undocumented migrants from Bangladesh and Nepalis don't need a visa to work in India and they are also Hindus so nobody really minds. however legal immigration to India is almost non existent in comparison to our huge population.
I feel when it comet to migrants working in other countries only English speaking countries can successfully integrate them to the best of their ability. It could be because most English speaking countries apart from UK are new world and don't necessarily belong to a particular culture and always lied on immigrants for their growth. say USA, wonder where it could today without all the German immigrants of the 19 century or other Europeans following in the early 20'th century then the Asians after 1950 or Australia without the south Europeans. I truly believe if multiculturism does have a tiny bit of a chance then it would only be in English speaking counties. The English just have the natural ability to innovate, be self sufficient, entrepreneurship, courage, smartness, extrovertness, humor,confidence all of which are necessary to make a country work and make immigrants feel welcome. I could be wrong but muitliculturism will and can only survive in England, Australia, USA, Canada, to a small extent new Zealand.
It more likely to fail and even collapse the host country in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium etc. The Arab countries are not multicultural at all since they don't offer citizenship even after decades of living there, not to mention better treatment of Europeans and Americans as compared to third word countries. Malaysia already has reservation for its majority population and apart from Tamils there aren't; any other nationalities living there. South Africa was one the bread basket of Africa but now its falling apart after the apartheid and the people of white heritage are from mostly German and dutch background.
