Left wing Star Wing fans, why is Darth Vader portrayed as extreme white because he has not seen the sun?

Seriously?
There aren't a lot of left wing fans of deep space war fiction for boys who will grow up to be conservative.
I bet there's no contingent of right wing peace and justice fans.
