Illegal Immigrants Who Stormed National Guard Processed And Released Into United States By Border Patrol

Processed under title 8. That means they were released into the US with a way in the future court date, have deportation protection till after that court date and can apply for a work permit.

This is Bidens solution to the illegal immagrants who cut the wire and rushed national guard troups injuring some. What kind of message does this send?

It figures you would find it amazing that the US would actually follow US asylum law. There is a bipartisan bill out there that could become law in a matter of days and address that situation. But wait! Trump has decreed that the bill, devised by Republican Senator Lankford of Oklahoma, not be voted on, so Trump has a campaign issue to campaign on. And here you are dutifully bringing it up and pretending it is Biden's fault. How quaint.

@Johnson212 Fortunately there are some people left in the US who still follow the law. Whether you believe their asylum cases are worthy or not is immaterial. Asylum seekers are still entitled to a hearing under US law. The bill provides for a speeding up of the process. That is what you and Trump are against. What you are for is separating children from parents permanently, caging them and scarring them for life.

I lived in El Paso for years, graduated high school there, and saw the border issues first-hand. Many of the middle-class homes had small "maid's rooms" to accomodate Mexican women who came freely across the border to provide housekeeping services to residents. People have always crossed the border there and in other locations. It happened during the Trump years as well. In fact, border apprehensions are UP under Biden, not down as you imply. What is different now is the number of asylum seekers. That is the issue that the bill was intended to address. But not when Trump needs an issue to campaign on more than he cares about the country, and when Republicans love Trump more than the nation.

@windinhishair Asylum policies also say to apply for Asylum in the first country you reach after fleeing but asylum is not what is going on here just the milking of the US tax payer. Dont worry will put things back right bit if it is Biden the floodgates will remain open like you wanf and tnere willbe more Laken Riley's.

@Johnson212 As much as you dislike existing asylum law, we have to follow our own laws until they are changed. If you wanted to change them, you would support the bipartisan immigration bill that Trump opposes.

If you care about crime (which you don't), since immigrants commit crimes with less frequency than other Americans, shouldn't we be rushing to import as many as possible to lower crime rates?
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair There is no bipartisan immigration bill, it was killed so you can quit dreaming about that. It is not the asylum law that is the problem, it is the people falsely taking advantage of it and the fact that the Biden Administration has decided to let them remain in the US until some future court date. Asylum law was causing no problem when the Trump policy of making them wait in Mexico was in force. We don't need a new law as much as we need an administration with a spine. Go tell Laken Riley's parents about the lower crime rate of illegal aliens.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Johnson212 That's exactly what the bipartisan immigration bill was poised to address. Too bad Trump unilaterally decided that he was personally more important than addressing a problem. If that constitutes someone "with a spine" who works only in his self-interest and not the country's, you can have that opinion.

White people kill others at a higher rate than immigrants. Yet you have no outrage for that. Go tell that to the families of the dead.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair That immigration bill was not going to do anything but provide more agents to process more claims and more judges to hear more claims. It does not matter what bill they pass if the administration does not have the stones to enforce the law. Here is the real problem,

Border Patrol caught these guys that cut the wire, bum rushed the national guard injuring several. Does not matter if you like that the guard was deployed at the border or not there should be consequences for foreigners who attack our soldiers. And what did the Biden administration do with those who invaded. One was arrested the rest were given way in the future court dates to appear for an asylum claims, are no immune to deportation proceedings, all they got to do is show their court date if stopped, and they can apply for a work permit, no wonder the border is being overwhelmed. I absolutely do not trust the democrats on this when this is the result of their efforts. Nope I want Trump back he will deal with the border properly.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Johnson212 Of course there should be consequences for people who attack law enforcement or the Guard. That's why the January 6 insurrectionists should continue to be dealt with. There is no guarantee that an immigrant will be allowed to stay in the US following an asylum hearing. Where do you get your misinformation?

Did you like children being caged under Trump, and being separated permanently from their parents? That's how Trump dealt with the issue.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair You are kidding right, you talk like after the hearing if they can't prove their claim they will be deported. According to the AP hearing dates are out to 10 years now. Meanwhile they are protected from deportation and have a work permit. Biden needs to go back to Trumps wait in Mexico and close the border.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Johnson212 Gee, Wally, with a broken system of dealing with asylum seekers, and the hatred and racism of Republicans, you would think they would be all over the bipartisan bill that specifically addresses that issue. But no, TRUMP HAS SPOKEN! There will be no action during the campaign season so Trump and others like yourself can use it as a hammer against Biden.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair You conveniently assume that the bill you talked about with a total of 4 republicians supporting it would fix these issues. All Trump had to say is look at the numbers what I did worked.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Johnson212 Only four Republicans supported the bill because Trump told the GOP in Congress not to. The bottom line is that Republicans wanting to address the issue at this point in time is just lip service. By far the most important thing to Republicans is to install Trump in office. Nothing else matters any more, not even immigration, jobs, the economy, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, or anything else.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair You are still assuming the bill fixed the problem, I am sure we will get a completely different bill when Trump takes office next year and that one will be better.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Johnson212 I never said it would FIX the problem. But it was a good start towards addressing a decades old problem that hasn't been addressed. Other changes will need to be made also. But only one party wants to do that right now, and that is the Democrats.
