Legal asylum seekers have the same rights as US citizens while they are in this country. If they are promised certain things to get them to board a plane or a bus and be transported far away, and they were lied to, they have every right to sue. You have the same right if you were promised a job and compensation for moving expenses if you moved to another city, then moved and the compensation was denied later. There is not fundamental difference, and they are not asking for more rights than any American citizen has.
