@specman The Holocaust wasn't the first thing that happened. First Germany lost its democracy, then the Nazis took over and created a fascist government, then they did an ethnic cleansing similar to the one happening in America, then only after all of that had become normalized, the Holocaust began.
The point of "never again" is not that another Holocaust happens and we're all like, well, that sucked. We're supposed to stop Fascism before it gets to that point.

@specman Not what I did. I said what's happening in America is similar to the lead-up to the Holocaust.
One of the biggest misunderstandings is that the Nazis did the Holocaust on Day One. That's never how it works. The Nazis first created an authoritarian government that gave the NSDAP full control with no checks and balances. There were also multiple war crimes before the exterminations began, which is what we're seeing now.

@specman We have a fascist party doing an ethnic cleansing while ignoring courts, thus acting without checks and balances, and they're already trying to steal the midterms. If this becomes the norm, and it seems like it will, America will effectively be a fascist country doing an ethnic cleansing. So how is this not like the build up to the Holocaust? What important actions did the Nazis do before the Holocaust, that the Republicans aren't doing right now?
