This cancel culture stuff sure is interesting at the very least. I think that when it comes to your bottom line you have to do what you need to do. Business owners do what they need to as will the customers they serve.

It's harmful. If you disagree with someone, debate them politely and with the facts as you see them. Show them why you disagree. If you ban people from speaking then whether they're right, wrong or bonkers, you've immediately made them into a victim. If you just throw insults at them, you come across as a shouty pillock.
