United Against Anti-Semitism??

I see a lot of these signs on the roadside lately and, yes, of course I'm united against anti-semitism.

I'm also united against Islamophobia. And homophobia. And racism and bigotry and prejudice. And so many other things.

Basically, I am united against "otherism". If you look at another person and instantly categorize them by some attribute other than the human being, then sorry, I think you are part of the problem facing all of us right now.

Most of you know that I spent most of my twenties in the military. And while I'm not saying there are no problems in the military, it is the greatest meritocracy that exists (as far as I know). You either can get shit done or you can't and that is all that matters. Not your race, not your religion, not ancestry, not anything other than your skillset and the job in front of you.

I served with people of all faiths and people of no faith. I served with people of every skin color and every accent & dialect (although sadly, my own Boston / New England dialect was rather rare 😔). I commanded a team of over sixty people. The only thing they were ever judged on was whether they got their shit done or not.

James Taylor tells us to "shower the people you love with love". I'm sorry. As much as I love me some good JT from the '70's, he missed the mark by a long shot with that one. I say shower the people you can barely stand with love. Do that and we might just have a future.

I don't know about you, but I am praying for Gaza and Israel this weekend. Please join me if you are so inclined.

I am of the opinion that those who kill, maim, and rape innocent people out of hatred deserve retribution. Those who choose to break our laws and enter our country illegally need to be arrested and deported. If they commit other crimes while here…deport them after their prison sentence is served. The previous administration made sure America and Americans suffered at the hands of foreign interests and illegal aliens. Creating the "otherism" you speak of. Many leftists and leftist politicians still promote Foreign interests over Americans. That is untenable. America and its citizens must come first. Close the borders, expel foreigners, and take care of our own. It's the only way this country will survive.

@TexChik 98% of us here in the USA are descended from someone who made the choice at some point to emigrant to America (or was brought here by force).

How many of us would even be here if your proposed policy was implemented fifty or a hundred or a hundred and fifty years ago??

@sarabee1995 Sara, it's a different world now than it was 200 year ago. We live in a world now with sovereign nations that have laws. Are you by really trying to make an excuse for illegal immigration by claiming we are descended from immigrants? Go explain that to the families whose's chikdren were raped and/for murdered by illegal immigrants or dies from the fentanyl they brought in. Please go explain to homeless veterans who were removed from their housing by socialist politicians to accommodate illegal aliens ( which violated the law) Europe is starting to see the error of their ways and are now forcibly deporting the immigrants they mistakenly let in. People no longer have the right to walk into a new country and expect to be a citizen .

@sarabee1995 just as we did after WWII. To assimilate what we have. We have too many indoctrinated young Americans playing make believe in their minds and not living in reality and not becoming productive members of our society. We have that and infrastructure to fix. Immigration will only be a drag on resources.
