So some dryfront tried to dictate what I do in my own house! I almost killed him.
I was scheduled to have a new range delivered to my house. I get a call from the delivery crew - there are 2 people speaking Spanish at the same time. The only English I heard was "Home Depot" and "delivery". I knew it was probably going to be some bullshit right then. Two men and a woman show up - all Hispanic. I spoke to one of the guys and all he did was smile and nod - the first sign that you are dealing with dryfronts that probably just got in across the border. The woman steps forward as she is the only one who speaks a few words of English. She comes into my kitchen to see where the new range will go - taking photos without any explanation. They get it into the house and the legs on it were so uneven that it was rocking side to side. The woman turns to me and says the floor is not level as they look like they are about to leave. I started recording as I told them that the floor is definitely level as the old range sat there for years and they needed to level it properly.
For a good 20 minutes, one of the guys struggled to level it like he didnt know what he was doing. I could see that he was using a defective level. I pointed this out and the guy turns around and squares off on me when he sees my phone recording him. He shouts something in Spanish and the woman tells me that I can't record him!
I told all 3 of those bnrs "Bullshit! This is my fucking house!" I didnt care that I was outnubered - it was all I could do to not fuck that motherfucking bnr up. Who the fuck did he think he was to tell me anything in my house? His dusty ass shouldnt have even been in my fucking country!
He gets his phone out to record like it was a threat to me. I told him to go ahead and document how they were fucking this install up. I ended up having to give them my level to use. They struggled for 3 minutes just to peel off the plastic covering on the stainless steel. The other guy - the one that smiled alot - tried to apologize and console me as he could tell I was not having that disrespect in my house. He repeatedly shook my hand and fist bumped.
I complained to Home Depot and told them that they need to hire contractors that employ people who speak real English - or better yet, companies that employ REAL American citizens. I spent over a grand for that appliance and delivery. Americans consumers deserve better from big American companies.
