Why can’t people differentiate between religion and culture/ethnicity ?🫤 is it ignorance ?

This dystopia and hypocrisy especially revolves around Muslims.
Despite the fact
Islam is one of the top greatest racially diverse religions.
In fact Arabs are only 15-20 % of the Muslim population.
And even those 15-20% Arabs are not necessarily all native Arabs (such as Egyptians which are dna wise decedents of ancient Egyptians and take pride in their history and do not think their history belongs to say Arab Omanis nor does Omanis think pyramids have to do with them )

I’m concerned because it feels like some people genuinely think saudis have the same culture as Pakistanis
Simply because both are Muslim
But they don’t even speak the same language or have the same culture or history.
Religion has nothing to do with nationality or culture
Both Saudis and Pakistanis would be offended if you lump them together.

Islam is not a culture
Some people think becoming a Muslim means converting to becoming a Pakistani or Arab or or Indonesian or or which is hilarious.
I personally know a white Spanish proud Muslim named Rodrigo
And latinas Malaysians Chinese and Japanese Russians etc
Who are all proud of their language traditions dishes and culture
But their religion is Islam.

Islam even teaches to embrace each other cultures and get to know each other
(Quran 49:13)

Islam is not an ethnic religion
In fact half of Africa is Muslim
It’s a hugely racially diverse religion

.

Like some British for example thinks becoming a Muslim means converting to becoming a Pakistani which is a really funny thing .

a Muslim Pakistani and a Hindu Indian have a far more in common culturally genetically and linguistically than say a Muslim Pakistani and a Muslim Bosnian
I don’t think I even need to say this 😂

As a gulf Arab,
The gulf Arab countries have extremely high percentage of migrants (UAE is almost 90% of the population)
Mostly also Indian and Pakistani
And some natives in those gulf nations just like the British feel upset about it
Turkey also has a lot of Syrian refugees and some turks feel upset about it

(not sayin it’s right! )

The fear of your culture being replaced or job opportunities decreasing or clash between different cultures
exists even among Muslims themselves
And has nothing to do with Islam whatsoever
I’m from Saudi Arabia
Many parts of my city center looks pretty much Indian /Pakistani due to the country having a great deal of them
And it does not represent me
(hard working individuals who I have respect for though )
In fact I see more Indians Pakistanis Bangladeshi etc on the streets than Saudis many times

moreover migrant workers taking over the jobs in Saudi created a crisis for Saudis that the Saudi government has been trying to solve this issue by doing stuff like this :

There is also this dystopia that only people of Muslim faith migrate but in reality the biggest immigrant group in the world are Christians
moreover many Christians and non Muslims also migrate to Muslim countries.
Migration is heavily related to economic factors
Most people migrate to escape poverty
Not because they think the other has a superior culture.
For instance , South Koreans used to migrate to Saudi Arabia to work
When their economy got better which is good for them
They left
(Saudi does not grant citizenships anyways )

The morale of the story is that you see a striking pattern of countries suffering economically and the migration of their population .
Even Syrians before the civil war
Rarely migrated abroad

As a gulf Arab,
I have never met a Qatari or a Saudi or emarati or Omani or Kuwaiti etc
Saying they want to migrate abroad
Yes
These people could study in such countries , go to them for tourism and maybe even work as expats in them but they do not “escape “ to such countries
Or become refugees or immigrants or trying to go there desperately
The people of those countries
Are actually blessed with a far better welfare system than Americans
In fact as a Saudi you don’t know how much we joke about the homelessness and shootings in the USA or the high theft in the Uk

The Americans despite being rich suffer from homelessness and Can’t afford healthcare

While the citizens of these nations
Have free healthcare without insurance , no taxes , free education including university and even monthly allowance to students , covering your marriage fees if you can’t afford it , giving you a home if you can’t afford it ,
allowance for elders widows divorced women orphans and unemployed , subsided water and electricity bills and the list goes on really
In fact unlike what some think these nations are actually developed clean and safe.

And it is funny when you know that rich Arab countries own a lot of the UK and others
Through investments
Which actually is a big boost to their economy
From football teams
To universities airports stores and so on
In fact the country of Qatar literally owns harrods in London.

I genuinely don’t care if you don’t think Islam is the truth or even an islamphobe
My point is Islam is not an ethnic religion nor one culture
So stop lumping Muslims together making it seem like they are one color language history and culture
stop making it seem that you stop being a certain race /culture when you covert to Islam
When it isn’t

Haha
Actually I was talking in general
and not specifically criticizing the west
Or the east or north or the south

Moreover

Your comment is part of the exact problem I’m talking about 😅
You said
“ Jews, Muslims, Blacks and Russians”

But
There are Russian Muslims (10% of Russia is Muslim )
Jewish Muslims (during the time of prophet Mohammed many Jews converted to Islam and historically many did , today the same thing just type on youtube “ Jew converts to Islam “)
And
Black Muslims (half of Africa is Muslim. And not just North Africa.)

Islam is a religion no different than Christianity
It is not a language nor a culture nor a race

I'm well aware and they also think the Middle East is all the same, where it's one of the most diverse regions in the world.

I have a friend who is an Armenian Christian in Texas. Armenians are Christians since 301 A.D. But people still assumed he was Arab and Muslim because he's Middle Eastern. Obviously a lot of racism towards him too after 9/11.

“I'm well aware and they also think the Middle East is all the same”

South Asia (India Pakistan Afghanistan etc ) are not part of the term Middle East but even when we exclude South Asia there is still huge diversity within the Middle East
But the bigger issue is the people who think that Islam is confined within the Middle East or South Asia
when it literally expands far beyond that
In fact I bet there are people who don’t know that the Maldives religion is Islam
Or that there are entire ethnic Chinese tribes in China who are Muslim
and the fact that in general it is a very racially linguistically and culturally diverse religion
Its followers are not any less diverse than the followers of Christianity
And most cannot understand each other languages
So idk why there are people who treat Muslims as an ethnicity
If you know what I mean
