A Request to. All Americans

A message to all Americans:
Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you reside, let's agree on 1 thing.
Demand that when the day comes and this DC trial begins, it must be televised live from start to finish.
Why is this important? It will allow every American to see and hear every word spoken and every action taken. It will remove the media from the equation and any bias that may come in their reporting of this important event that would be closed from public view.

We The People deserve to see this trial. The result will decide the fate of our democracy, the republic, and the rule of law.

I am asking you to contact Chief Justice John Roberts and demand that he allow this trial to be seen by the American people live and unedited from start to finish.

Update: Many have asked what must be done in order to have the trial televised. I have done some additional research and have found that: Justice Roberts could rule to allow cameras in the courtroom...or Congress could pass a law to allow cameras to be present, called the Sunshine in the Courtroom Act of 2023, which was written by several Senators from both sides. ....or the Judicial Conference could change the rules to allow cameras in.

Again, please let your voice be heard.

This case involves US security questions and the espionage act. Transparency is one thing, not revealing security information is perhaps more important.

Televising it would mean editing anything that involves security. That would create a bigger storm than not televising it at all.

@Zeusdelight It may or may not. We don't know for certain. What we do know from reading the indictment, Trump and a number of co-conspirators attempted to stop the peaceful transition of power from one administration to the next and overturn the results of a free and fair election.

@JSul3 Oops, there is so much going on with the Boy at the moment. I thought you were referring to the 37 indictment case rather than the Dc case.

I know it is clear when I re-read your question, but I missed it on the first go:)

@Zeusdelight I don't mind watching the FL case as well.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@JSul3 Having been in court a number of times, all the procedural stuff would be so tedious:)

@Zeusdelight It's the body language of Trump worth the watch. He's so bombastic in front of a crowd or in front of a camera, but a subdued citizen being indicted in a court of law before a judge is entirely a different picture.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@JSul3 The pictures I have seen of him in court remind me of a toddler in the Naughty Corner:)

I find it very sad. It must be horrible being him.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Zeusdelight I have zero sympathy for him.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@JSul3 I can understand that.
JSul3 · 70-79
@Zeusdelight He's been a crook all of his life, back when he was sued for refusing housing to minorities.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@JSul3 Yes, I know a bit about his history.
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@Zeusdelight Agreed! Quad Indicted has already placed our national security at grave risk by mishandling and very likely disseminating information related to our nuclear program, means/methods/sources and those of our allies.

The classified documents trial SHOULD NOT be televised.

The insurrection trial most definitely should be televised.
JSul3 · 70-79
@KunsanVeteran Agree. The FL trial should not....Judge Carroll will likely allow a delay until eternity.

The DC and GA trials should be. GA state trial can be easily.
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@JSul3 I absolutely agree. And anyone who actually plans to vote for him or is thinking that they might really owes it to themself to watch those trials if possible.
