A Request to. All Americans

A message to all Americans:
Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you reside, let's agree on 1 thing.
Demand that when the day comes and this DC trial begins, it must be televised live from start to finish.
Why is this important? It will allow every American to see and hear every word spoken and every action taken. It will remove the media from the equation and any bias that may come in their reporting of this important event that would be closed from public view.

We The People deserve to see this trial. The result will decide the fate of our democracy, the republic, and the rule of law.

I am asking you to contact Chief Justice John Roberts and demand that he allow this trial to be seen by the American people live and unedited from start to finish.

Update: Many have asked what must be done in order to have the trial televised. I have done some additional research and have found that: Justice Roberts could rule to allow cameras in the courtroom...or Congress could pass a law to allow cameras to be present, called the Sunshine in the Courtroom Act of 2023, which was written by several Senators from both sides. ....or the Judicial Conference could change the rules to allow cameras in.

Again, please let your voice be heard.

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"

What would be the point of televising the trial when Trump's cult has fallen so far down the rabbit hole that they're incapable of judging reality?

@Richard65 ... indicating they do no longer support a constitutional republic which is governed by the rule of law.
Julius Caesar had millions of supporters, even after his coup which destroyed the Roman republic. 😐

@helenS So it was with Nixon.............for about 6-8 months after he resigned. But eventually even water poured on a rock will dry up. It may take forever for it to soak into that rock....but eventually it will go away nonetheless. It is that way with a cult. The cult is THOROUGHLY convinced that trump was sent by God to help America and a lot of them believe him to be a world savior.............insane as that is. Like God would not have anyone else in heaven to pick.....other than that angel who grabs women by the pussy and lies to everyone he meets about everything.......but the cult is the cult. The cult have built their entire identities around trump. They buy and wear trump clothes. Buy trading cards of his face photoshopped onto bodies so they can see him as their super hero. There are lots of yards in America with flags faded from 2016 still flying on houses and in yards. They give away money they don't have to give....out of love and devotion to a millionaire they think is poor....just like them. They won't wear any hat but a trump hat. They defend him like he's their mom, dad, fantasy lover.........both males and females. They will break up a family, lose a job...breakup relationships if anyone speaks badly of their God. He is the source of sunlight, truth and freedom.....and he is God.........period. But he will dry up on that rock..........eventually.

But anyway......Nixon had some very hardcore believers in him. Even his resignation was ignored because he was "framed" or whatever. But after a while resignation to what is...is what is....settles in. One day the cult leader will die. One day he will be too old to run again. One day he will be found guilty of so much his GOP cheerleaders will fall away or move past him because age and his viability for ANY office ever again drops to zero. When his name in not in the news everyday he will become irrelevant. Then when his GOP cheerleaders can't get votes from his cult anymore......why will anyone need trump anymore? When he stops being Jesus.....for whatever reason..........the only memory of him left will be in history books as a footnote to the worst of the worst ever in U.S. political history. And the cult will eventually move on too. They'll have no other choice. It will take time...................but it is inevitable. Already his mega donors are moving past him...much of his cult is catching on to being chumps....even GOP brass is moving away from him. Give it time..............he has hung himself with all but his faithful worshippers.......but in time they will move on too. They'll have no choice.........sooner or later.

@anythingoes477 Thank you – it's very strange. I wouldn't be surprised if such a cult existed in some 3rd world country – but in the US???
JSul3 · 70-79
@Richard65 Who cares about the Trump Cult? The rest of America deserves to see and hear it.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
@helenS you’re correct, instead of saying Trump didn’t break the laws, they are now stating that he did break established laws but by doing so he is their hero.
JSul3 · 70-79
@anythingoes477 Had Ford not hastily pardoned Nixon, and allowed charges to be brought forth followed by an indictment and a trial, we might not be where we are today. The excuse of 'this is unprecedented' wouldn't hold water because a former president would have already been held accountable for his actions.
anythingoes477 · 31-35, M
@JSul3 "This is unprecedented" is exactly right. Never before have we had such a traitor that is this corrupt on so many levels elected to office. It's unprecedented to have a convicted sexual abuser elected to president too. The second phrase we hear is "this is politically motivated". Stupid.......but it gets applause. I have been baptized..........so if I committed treason do you think I could avoid prosecution if I yelled " you can't do this. This is religious persecution" when they wanted to try me?

"Politically motivated prosecution" alludes to the idea that no matter what crime you commit......if you hurry up and run for office that's should be a get out of jail free card.

And to your point.....I agree. When one is sooooooooooooo bad they are impeached or thrown out of office.....or brought up on (so far) 80 criminal indictments...and then that person gets a pardon...a hand slap for breaking multiple laws....what lesson is learned? But this goes further back........the role model for trump was Reagan in so many ways. Reagan was the change that began this downhill evolution of the GOP.....from up there.....to bottom of the barrel. Nixon was just the first to be that corrupt and get a pardon for it.............giving trump the idea he should get one too..........or better yet not even be liable in the beginning because he is a politician.

The real threat of trump is that if he does win somehow in 2024....he will pardon himself....of ALL of this.
JSul3 · 70-79
@anythingoes477 Yes, Reagan was the start of the cancerous growth that has taken over the former GOP, now known as The Party of Trump.
anythingoes477 · 31-35, M
@JSul3 Trump finished the evolution.................so far. (It may get worse) Now the "Evangelicals Right" which was always the core of the family values party..... is nothing more than a political wing of the GOP...and screw God and religion. Now they embrace "I grab them by the pussy" and smile. Bible waving for photo ops is "real religion". The goal for them is now........GIVE US JUDGES so we can force OUR agenda on everyone else.

The idea of "conservative" damned sure don't apply to conservative spending anymore. Trump added $7 trillion to the debt in just 4 years. Back in the Reagan/Bush Sr. years they doubled the debt in just 8 years. Jr. doubled it again....but by inventing "deferred spending"-------a term he made up....all he spent on his wars was NOT added to his legcacy. Deferred meant to wait until 1 minute after midnight on the day Obama took office and count as it as spending on Obama terms in office. (Look that up....absolute truth)

The "law and order" party is now let the man who attacked our government off.....the law don't apply to him. Other than identifying with the color Red as a party color.................nothing remains of what used to be the Republican Party.....except those that are in their 70's and older now who think when they vote "R" today they are still voting for the ideas and values and standards of the GOP that they remember from back in the 1960's and 1970's.
JSul3 · 70-79
@anythingoes477 And seem to be supporting Putin and his invasion of Ukraine. Sick!
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Richard65 well for the memes of course.
