President Biden Will Be Establishing An Emmett Till National Monument In Illinois And Mississippi This Week

While the Trump Cult and other white supremacists and racists desperately try to wipe their sordid history away, Biden's actions will ensure that at least some of that history is preserved. Tuesday would have been Till's 82nd birthday, if the then Chicago teenager had not been lynched by white supremacists in Mississippi for reportedly whistling at a white woman. Disfigured and beaten almost beyone recognition, his mother insisted on an open casket at his funeral so it would force people to look at what white supremacists had done to her beloved son.
