why isnt there more films and tv series on African Culture, history and gods?

Hollywood love trying to rewrite history and culture with forced diversity in films and series based on historical history but they dont seem to make actual shows with POC culture, history, gods and so on.

I honestly think more of that stuff would be great to watch and learn from instead of disrespecting others culture and history.

Same with race and gender swapping established characters in entertainment. Why not make new exciting characters instead of doing that?
Clearly its all money related. They pick what sells really well and throws in a sprinkle of forced diversity to create headlines and attention to make more money. Netflix and so on dont really care about diversity, LGBTQ and so on. They care about money and the moment it stops being profitable for them, You wait and see them drop all of it in a heartbeat.
Those companies are not your friends, they just want your money

New characters would be great but also I see no harm in swapping races or genders asnon-whites and women have been so under represented for so long. It does bug me when people complain about a black Dr Who or Ariel or Tinkerbell

@InOtterWords because it is lazy and more roles should be made for POC and so on but swapping gender and race to characters that are beloved by so many just to force diversity on people is never going to go well.
People should not be happy with it. It shows they are lazy and can not even be bothered to come up with characters that would better fit those type of roles.
Instead it gets them attention and money, those are the only reasons it is done
@Torsten I don't think it is lazy - Dr Who is an Alien, Mermaids and Fairies a fantasical creaturres, why should they have a race assigned to them?
