Anticonsumerism

Where on earth can I find a place to discuss consumerism, anti-consumption, advertising rewriting your conscience, mind control of masses, media manipulation for profits, etc. Like how even this very forum tries to manipulate you with their pre-written shoe-horning categories which as if tell you what you're allowed to think.
Obviously, there is power behind all of this. Crazy, suicidal free market cultist believing their cult of The Invisble Market Hand. They will take it all down with themselves.
I just don't believe that no one is interested.
This topic has been intense in last years, and for obvious reasons, too.

I just don't want to get to reddit, it's karma system is cancer. And 4chan is just a mess with no sense and structure, just turdposting.

I will be continuing deleting insults and knee-jerk reactions of haters. Don't want to play nice, it's your choice.

On topic. So, when was last time you actually knew the funding sources of newspapers you're reading?
How often a new 'fancy' or 'healthy' food suddenly becomes 'overhyped' and 'quirky' once the sponsors change? Each time they say 'see what people are buying' it means 'see what we want you to buy'. Resist. Combat their narrative. Be eagle-eyed.

The liars behind the 'oh, it's just supply and demand, nothing else matters' are ridiculous and you know it. It is very tempting to sleep to their soothing songs, but wake up will be harsh. Don't ask questions, just believe the 'science'. Oh, yeah, the whole point of science is questioning established stance with inconvenient new evidence.

Truth is the ultimate value. I stand by this, you stand by this. Don't be shy about it. They hate you exactly because you're upsetting their gold cart.

Your angry replies show you are somewhat sensitive to the topic. Tell me, do you believe what ads say? How often do you start using words that came up often in your media feeds? Do you see the connection?
How often to you buy new stuff to replace old still working one? Do you think you do on your will?
See, it's real. Brushing it off seems like a way of averting the eyes.
