Partial shifting is not possible due to the fact one would have to isolate the energy function to one specific area. This is not possible because shifting takes place on an atomic level. The thermogenics that would take place would fuck you up.

It would be like trying to freeze one section if a single pool of water. Energy transference cannot work that way. It's an all or nothing thing. Even stopping midway wouldn't be possible because the amount of energy required to do so would kill the subject.

I believe in it, however my view of it is that the person who's shifting is not staying stuck in one "shift", but is either constantly moving towards a full shift, or back to being human. I guess, not like shifting a wolf's tail and ears, keeping them on like that and leaving the rest of you human, but every part of you shifting at the same rate gradually until you fail to complete the shift (for whatever reason), and go back slowly into a human form. I consider that to be a partial shift, though I'm aware that most people seem to mean more like shifting paws and tails while remaining human, and keeping the parts on without them going one way or the other.

doesn't exist, think about it this way werewolfism is a genetic mutation, seeing as it is genetic, the process of shifting forms is like any other internal process that happens you can't stop it half through we can control when it starts but it is an all or nothing thing.
FaoladhOCuinn · 26-30, M
@letthewolfout right it is a genetic mutation that our minds control so if a werewolf shifts his/her hand it should ship that part only since the mind is in control of the process, or am i off base?
letthewolfout · 26-30, M
@FaoladhOCuinn you are off base a bit minds only control the start of the process. Once a bodly function starts its not like you can stop it. Think of any normal bodyily function once it starts it must finish.
