Apparently moka pots can blow up.

My daughters girlfirend just discovered that with mine .

Did you know that coffee grounds can travel 3.5m under pressure?
I didn't .

My kitchen just got exfoliated 😏

She's honeslty the most lovely person, and i couldnt wish for a more caring partner for my kid.
But she does get side tracked sometimes.

Im cancelling the pressure cooker for her for Christmas - i want to live to see my grandchildren 😂

So I don’t do a reenactment in my kitchen, did she not have it screwed on all the way or use a filter?
@FeelingItAll she forgot to put the filter in, and i think sje let it boil almost dry. I also think some grains may have got into the valve.... I'm not sure - i havent asked.
It was a bit of a shock, and she felt terrible. And im not gonna grill someone while they feel that way .
Ill check the pot and sort it out tomorrow when they are in a better headspace.

@OogieBoogie 🤙🏻 Same… the last thing she needs is an interrogation. I’ve been using my pour over setup lately anyways. Hope alls well now
@FeelingItAll i barely use it now since my daughter got me this cup ⬇️
Its meant for tea, but wotks superbly for a fresh pour. I love it - it makes the coffee really smooth🤗

And yes ...all is good.😊

@OogieBoogie I actually love that cup! I’ve known about pour over for quite awhile, but just got into it over the winter. I don’t think I’ll ever go back now. As long as the water temp is right and you use fresh ground beans, it makes the perfect cup every time
@FeelingItAll IT DOES doesn't it !
Same.
I relish my coffee.
And have experimented with trying to learn to brew the perfect cup.
But a fresh pour beats all brews.
Its mellow and intense with no bitterness.
Amd never too hot .

Im not going back either i dont think .

Plus this cup is so simple. Eveything packs into itself and the drip catcher becomes the lid.
Its perfect🤗

Its a T2 mug with infuser.

I love it to grate my own fresh ginger tea in as well.

Not often a simple gimick changes my life - but i LOVE this mug. It never gets back on the shelf - its in perpetual use 😏

@OogieBoogie I will be researching it today, during my lunch!
