Yes..Cheltenham isn’t in Wales but Glamorgan are playing there.. And the River photos were taken from a Moving train…so they are not that clear
Annoying the festival is so early this year school has not finished so one or two things I wanted to photograph were blocked off…but there was some nice organ music emanating from the chapel as I left
Occasionally when driving to the South of England, I avoid much of the motorway by detouring towards North Wales and using the A49 through the Border Counties - a lovely area with views in places across to the Welsh hills.
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON two more days cricket. There are other Cheltenham Festivals….the horse racing one is famous. And there is a cultural one….that is usually August time.
Is the river muddy looking because of recent rains?
Very big church.
Organ music has a special place in my memories. We went inside, when I was a child, not recently.
Riga's Evangelical Lutheran cathedral, usually called the Dome Cathedral is the largest place of worship in the Baltics. Built on the site of a livonian fishing village in 1211 it has one of the biggest pipe organs in Europe -- 6718 pipes!!
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON it’s that Colour because it is a river estuary and the river bed is grey mud. Further up the channel the resort of Weston -Super-Mare is known by some as Weston-Super-Mud because when the tide is out you can just see mud beyond the beach. I have pictures on here from Worcester long before the river becomes tidal. A much nicer Colour!
