Beautiful country ,, I know of places that look like this in the states But they are disappearing hopefully that wont be spoiled by over population too in the near future
@Spectre128 I agree ,my special place is a water fall on private property in North Carolina I have not been home for years ,,I miss it But home is where your heart is ,and my kids are in Florida So Florida is home again ..even if this is what they think passes for a water fall
@rckt148 I love that photo, I can hear the sound of the falls in my head just looking at it. Florida is a wonderful state, but I do agree with you that NC sounds more like home.
@Spectre128 The one I love is actually hundreds of feet high but it has a ledge about maybe 50 feet from the water you can dive into the pool ,,there is a cave there too ,,its amazing I love water falls so much I used Looking Glass falls in NC as the back drop for my album cover ,,,me in a duster and hat ,and my guitar As I climbed over the safety rail ,to go as far out on the rocks as I could get ,,everyone was pulling up giving me crap "Mister you're not suppose to be out there ,,but I wanted nothing but that majestic water fall behind me . Its an awesome cover ,,the one I love is not nearly as big or high But it is on private land ,,no trash ,no people Just nature how God made it ,, I made the mistake of taking friends there and they started throwing beer cans in the woods and bottles in the river I made them dive down a retrieve their bottles ,,clean the whole area just like they found it ,,and the owner put up a gate .. You can't stop people from coming in by water ,and some fishermen who fish for speckle trout know its a good spot ,, But its kind of off the beaten path ,,not many know its there I prefer it that way ,,not that I like being selfish ,, I just don't want anyone ruining it again ,, Not many places like that left ,I want to preserve as many as I can My grandfather before he passed was able to get the area around our town turned into a National Park ,,and wild life refuge ,, But even with that restriction ,the rich are finding ways to build condo's there ,,soon no one will be able to see the river for homes ,,and of coarse call the land you have to cross to reach it ,private property We have to protect it while we can ,,or soon it will all be gone
