MUCH too expensive...hundreds of dollars in fines or even thousands and jailtime if caught

@ArtieKat sorry I think I sent my reply to you by accident. Sorry

@specman OK. I was just very confused. As the OP appears to have no understanding of speed limits (and the reason for them) and parking restrictions, I'm waiting to find out whereabouts in the world he is
specman · 51-55, MVIP
@ArtieKat he might not be able to drive yet! Or a very new driver

I haven't gotten either recently, but in the past I've paid $50 parking tickets. It's been a VERY long time since I had a speeding ticket.

In the US, speeding tickets are what they call moving violations. Those add points to your driver's license, and your insurance costs you more when your license has points. How many points depends on the speed, but with 12 or over points your license can be suspended.

It may be similar in the UK; I read recently that Emma Watson (AKA Hermione) got a thousand pound fine plus 6 month suspension when she went from 9 points to 12.

Certain states have increased driving law enforcement laws over this last weekend.

It's common to do so on certain holidays. Especially on the holiday weekends.

It more than just driving. It even includes sobriety and parking. Heck the highway patrol even arrested drug dealers this last weekend. They normally don't have the dogs out checking.

Why would anyone discuss that publicly and why do you need to know?
Ankush · 26-30, M
@RedBaron is it like a private disease?
RedBaron · M
@Ankush It’s just people’s personal business and nobody else’s.
