I dislike the dumbed-down ‘left-right’ politics of the US has made its way to the UK.

The rise of nationalism is giving birth to the same kinda divide you'd usually find it in class differences not political. Culturally, we tend to be far more polite/passive aggressive when it comes to discussing political affiliations than the US but now it's becoming more of a source of pride for people and that's scary.
