AITA? My UK friend keeps buying British wildlife documentaries on Prime for me.

Do you think he’s doing it because he’s trying to prove the UK has as many animals as Africa? You don't.

Or maybe he’s trying to convince me to immigrate there because he thinks the main thing I look for in a country is…

Butterflies that used to feed ants off their bù. tts

Or blurry sight of hedgehogs crossing a damp field like it’s the Serengeti..which are actually a slightly wet badger and three sheep after you put your glasses on.

This is immigration propaganda.

Not going to lie, they are often fun to watch. And jokes aside, I didn't know the UK has so many animals other than humansand maybe those little crawling things I saw under my friend's kitchen tiles. Bugs that have horns on their behinds and heads.

And ho eing foxes too.

We are a very nature depleted country, but there is a lot of good stuff happening regarding rewilding projects up in Scotland, Kielder Forest, the Knepp Estate down south. Beavers have been reintroduced, which is making a massive difference to riverine ecosystems, we are reducing the numbers of sheep and deer to boost forest regeneration, and there's a chance that lynx will be reintroduced in Scotland. Small steps but a lot better than this time 10 years ago.

A good programme to watch, if you can, is Sir David Attenborough's Wild London.
YATA for not giving me access to your Prime.
@Miram Oh God the way that emoji translated was terrible.

We are very fortunate to have great British wildlife docs from all around the world, many of them free to watch on the BBC or Channel 4 or even Channel 5 sometimes (the last two with ads).

And otters!

Our wildlife is amazing.... not quite on par with Africa but still great.

We have a hedgehog in our garden, robins, bluetits and blackbirds....and the occasional visit from a fox

@BabyLonia You actually make very decent documentaries

@Miram David Attenborough 😍
AYTA?
Unless you packaged your beer in taxidermied dead British squirrels, stoats and hares, no you are not

(the brewery claimed these animals were roadkill and not killed specifically for the gimmick marketing campaign, but who knows)
