supposedly you need the vehicle log book (V5 document) to have a number plate made up. think that the old backing plates and separate letters that you used to be able to buy should no longer be available for purchase and those made should be illegal to use now.

@HollowayRoadN19 One of my neighbours has just been accepted into the Traveller Community he has a Motorhome everything is good so far, he visits his parents now and again to wash clothes and charge up his batteries.
This Traveller Community has an Encampment roughly twelve miles away, they haven't to my knowledge every caused any trouble, they simply wish to be Travellers.

@HollowayRoadN19 I don't think they pay Council tax, Water bills or any sort of rent.
More and more people are becoming "Van Lifers" the Motorhomes on the roads nowadays are like Palaces very comfortable with central heating all mod cons it's cheaper than renting flats and houses.
