UK people if you have one of the "POLITE NOTICE...NO COLD CALLERS, TRADESMEN, " etc notices on your door, are they likely to obey it and leave you

alone or ring the bell anyway and if so, should you add a customised Please and " We already have relatives who do these jobs" to increase chances of them retreating?

I have one on the door and I have to be honest it does reduce the number of nuisance callers, can I cut your hedge, sweep your gutter, etc I won't go on.

I can recommend putting them on your door.

I dont have notices on my door and i never get cold callers.. maybe its the picture of my rottweiler on the porch.....
