UK people, is UK dependent on US, as Rachel Reeves say she has to put taxes up because UK economy has suffered due to imports to US?

As of today, Rachel Reeves has made no statement about putting up taxes for whatever reason. Lots of people are commenting that she's preparing the way for doing that, but at the moment that's all speculation and worth little.

As to your question the UK is a trading nation and is dependent on being able to do trade around the world. The US is one of the important countries which it seeks to do trade with.

Reeves is just looking for anyone or anything to blame for the UK's current problems, US tariffs being one and all governments have to deal with external factors hers being nowhere near those of Sunak's in the pandemic or the commencement of the war in Ukraine; notwithstanding the fact that her budget last year caused a number of these - farmers no longer investing in farms so as not to hit the inheritance tax threshold and a tax on jobs (to name but two) coupled with a political lack of nous shared by her, her neighbour at nr 10 and their advisers.
