Prince Andrew Is No More

King Charles III has begun the process of stripping his brother of all royal titles and his residence. This is the consequence of Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor's unwillingness to be open about his relationship and behaviour around the convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein. The UK part of this awful abuse scandal is clear and actions have been taken. There still seems to be some ambivalence (to understate it, perhaps) in the USA towards those with privilege who may also have been associated with the abuser.

Just to be slightly provocative whilst it is a 30 room residence that he is being evicted from, there is no suggestion that he has done anything wrong with respect to the terms of his lease, one sided as it may be, and it is a little ironic that in the same week that landlords have the power of no fault evictions removed by law - he is evicted ....

@gandalf1957 Good point. I think the decision has obviated a drawn out investigation as to whether he actually has broken the terms of his lease which some politicians were pushing for as part of their grandstanding.

@FreddieUK and ironic to that the Chancellor of the Exchequer is apparently possibly an illicit landlord herself

@gandalf1957 She's been cleared of deliberate malfeasance, though, by the independent adjudicator. It goes to show that if you're in public office you cannot trust anyone who gives you advice that something has been done or doesn't need to be done.
