Plaid Cymru Take Caerphilly in By-election

The people of, Caerphilly have spokem for the first time ever they have elected a Politician other than Labour, Reform came second, wow what a result for Plaid Cymru and what a result for Reform.

This result must show Labour they have lost The confidence of the people as a young man growing up in the area I would never have thought Labour would ever lose Caerphilly one of the strongest seats in the country but they have.

if one party has been in power for a quarter of a century and the only party in government since devolved powers to Wales then there is nobody else to blame for the dissatisfaction with government in Wales.

@gandalf1957 It's fair to say Labour's in "Big Trouble" I never thought Caerphilly would elect any other Political Party, the Senedd elections are in six months time, maybe Plaid Cymru could make vast gains.

@senghenydd In my opinion it is no maybe - it's a dead cert. However historically Wales was Liberal in many areas. My great uncle was a liberal councillor through the 1950s and 60s. I think rural West Wales the area in which he was a councillor may actually go LIB Dem.
