What do you think about the UK adding age verification to age-restricted website contents?

I don't see how that would work, let alone safely.

@NerdyPotato Ikr, we had this here before with Youtube during the pandemic. I wonder how many gave out their ID or credit card info to Youtube or whoever it was on the other side just like that. Just to be able to watch some age-restricted music videos or whatever the author decided to mark as age-restricted for whatever reason.
@CrazyMusicLover and the more websites have access to it, the more likely it is to get stolen.

@NerdyPotato Exactly. Nowadays when some banks allow you to make an account and even take loans just based on a photo of an ID, I'd be damn careful where I would send it.

@NerdyPotato Unironically all you need to bypass it is a VPN with the exit node in a non-EU/non-UK country, like for instance the Vatican
