U.K. law on sun strips

So I have a sunstrip I brought to put on my classic mini but U.K. legislation or M.O.T( inspection) rules say the sun strip isn’t allowed to cover the wiper sweep area I mean what moron comes up with this crap a sunstrip doesn’t reduce visibility it improves it the amount of times I’m been driving and the sun comes from behind a building and blinded me once causing me to clip the curb surly these idiots would approve sunstrips
