Dozens of different British accents. Some are soothing and sweet, others sound quite brash, all very very different

SW-User

There are dozens of "British" accents, but whatever...
Ferise1 · 46-50, M

SW-User
@Ferise1 🤦♂️ So you only know the posh dowager Queen accent and the fake Dick van Dyke "Cockernee" accent. Riiight...
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@SW-User no there’s all kinds of accents. All terrible.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
There are dozens of British accents - which one are you referring too
First of all; there's no such thing as "the British accent". There are dozens at the very least.
Secondly, you look like the kind of man who's prohibited from stepping within a mile of schools.

I really like Ringo Starr's Scouse accent; likewise the rest of the Beatles.
I really like John Cleese's accent.
I really like Sean Connery's accent.
I'm American by the way.

I'm Canadian, least we are the ones without an accent. 😂
I hear British and Aussie accents so alike, I'm incorrect in guessing from where they're from.

Which of the thousands of British accents did you have in mind? As it's a small mind there probably wasn't room for a big one.
TheOneyouwerewarnedabout · 46-50, MVIP

Apparently some have never seen poor southern American teeth before...
@AthrillatheHunt Yes of course to varying degrees.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Spunkylama but Margaret thatcher and prince Charles aren’t poor though. Lol
@AthrillatheHunt well we do see the occasional person that makes us wonder like...with all they money why don't they fix their teeth, hair, etc. Maybe they don't see it as an issue?
Disguised · 56-60, M
At the end of the day its not the accent you should be focused on its the meaning of the words. But hey ho takes all sorts and it needs one person to be wrong so the others can be right...

SW-User
I don't like them either...except I also have one

The language is known as “English” so how it’s spoken by the English is arguably how it’s supposed to sound. Now I know the difference among Cockney, Yorkshire and Plum but, in general, it’s their language. The rest of use just abuse it.

Me an Australian, talking like a Brit. I love English accents!!
